They Raised £5,007: Now Las Vegas Awaits These Local Dancers
Elevation Performance Academy has thanked its supporters after raising an extraordinary £5,007 to help its young dancers perform in Las Vegas.
The fundraising campaign was launched to make the international opportunity more accessible for the academy’s dancers and their families.
The final total was achieved through community events, raffles, ticket sales, donated prizes and contributions from friends, relatives and local businesses.
The Dagenham-based dance school also runs weekly classes at the Mardyke Community Centre in Rainham, giving the fundraising campaign a strong connection to Havering.
EPA said: “Whether you donated £1, attended an event, bought a raffle ticket, donated a prize, gave your time, shared our fundraising or made a significant contribution towards our total, please know how genuinely grateful we are.”
The academy added that every contribution, regardless of its size, had helped the dancers reach the £5,007 total.
The fundraising drive has now officially concluded, allowing the dancers to focus on their preparations for the National Entertainment Awards in Las Vegas.
The international ceremony will bring performers from the UK and United States together for an evening of live performances and awards. Organisers describe the Las Vegas event as the first international edition of the National Entertainment Awards.
Elevation Performance Academy previously impressed at the awards by securing a coveted golden buzzer and a place in the finals following a performance before an audience of approximately 2,000 people.
With just 56 days remaining at the time of EPA’s announcement, excitement is now building among the dancers, their families and everyone who has helped them on their journey.
The academy said: “That’s a wrap on EPA Vegas fundraising! An incredible community behind us and a group of dancers about to have the experience of a lifetime.”
The £5,007 total represents far more than a fundraising figure. It reflects months of work and a community rallying behind young performers as they prepare for an opportunity they will remember for years to come.
EPA concluded its announcement with a final message to its supporters: “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
