Romford Blooms with Remembrance: Thousands of Handmade Poppies Create a Stunning Community Display.
St Edward’s Church in Romford Market Place has unveiled a stunning poppy display, and the community is being invited to pop along, admire the beautiful handmade creations and say hello.

The church has been overwhelmed by the response after asking the community to support its display, with poppies arriving from all over the country, some even coming through the post.
Members of the local community have also been dropping by to deliver their beautiful handmade works of art.
Every poppy has been handmade, and there are now thousands on display. One community group alone made an incredible 700 poppies!
The church is encouraging everyone to come along and see both the displays inside and outside the building.
St Edward’s Church is open most mornings, except Mondays, for private prayer and reflection.
Sunday services usually take place at 8am and 10am. This week, however, the service will start at 9.30am to allow the congregation to process to Coronation Gardens.
The church said:
“We would love to see you.”
A wonderful community effort, with thousands of handmade poppies bringing people together to remember and honour those who have served.
