Romford Takes Centre Stage In Brookside Theatre’s New Annie Trailer
Romford’s best-known landmarks share the spotlight with Annie in a new trailer promoting Brookside Theatre’s forthcoming family musical.
Brookside Theatre has unveiled a new trailer for its forthcoming production of Annie, with Romford itself taking centre stage.
The trailer promotes the much-loved musical ahead of its run from 21 to 25 October 2026 while showcasing some of the town’s most recognisable locations.
Filmed around Romford, it features Raphael Park, Romford Shopping Hall, Romford Town Hall, The Liberty, The Mercury Shopping Centre, Havering Museum and St Edward’s Church.

Set in 1930s New York, Annie follows a brave young orphan who escapes the miserable Miss Hannigan and is invited to spend Christmas with billionaire Oliver Warbucks. But Miss Hannigan and her accomplices soon hatch a plan that threatens Annie’s hopes of finding her real family.
The show features musical theatre favourites including It’s the Hard-Knock Life, Easy Street, I Don’t Need Anything But You and Tomorrow.
Many young local performers are taking part as Annie and the orphans, making the production a celebration of Romford as well as a family musical.
