Police are continuing to investigate after a six year old child was injured following a collision involving two e-bikes in Rise Park.

At this stage, no arrests have been made and police are continuing efforts to identify the riders of the two e-bikes involved.

The incident has once again raised concerns locally about the dangerous and reckless use of e-bikes across Havering, particularly in residential areas and in parks

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers are fully aware of concerns surrounding unsafe e-bike use and continue to treat the issue as a priority within the community.

Police say targeted operations are regularly carried out across the area, with riders being stopped, vehicles seized and enforcement action taken for traffic offences.

Officers are now urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have information that could assist the investigation to contact police on 101 quoting CAD6960/20APR.

Information can also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
