This Free Service Could Protect Your Business From Cyber Crime
Nearly half of UK businesses have experienced a cyber breach or attack in the past 12 months, with local firms being encouraged to make use of fully funded support available to help protect themselves.
Figures show that 43% of businesses identified a breach or cyber attack in the last year, highlighting the growing risks facing small and medium-sized enterprises.
Many SMEs believe they are too small to be targeted, but experts warn that this can often make them more vulnerable, particularly if basic protections are not in place.
The Cyber Resilience Centre for London is a police-led, business-focused initiative designed to help smaller businesses strengthen their cyber security and protect themselves from evolving threats.
The service is free to join and provides practical support tailored to businesses that may not have dedicated IT or security teams.
Support available includes:
- Security awareness training for staff
- Access to a range of fully funded technical cyber security services
- A free one-to-one conversation with specialists
- Regular threat updates and newsletters
- Invitations to webinars, events and business networking
The initiative aims to help businesses take actionable, proactive steps to improve their resilience and reduce the risk of disruption, financial loss or reputational damage.
In an increasingly digital environment, where cyber threats continue to evolve, access to trusted guidance and support is becoming more important for businesses of all sizes.
Local organisations, including The Havering Daily, have already signed up to the scheme and are encouraging others to explore the support available.
