Leader of the Opposition Councillor Gillian Ford Hits the Road on Borough-Wide Tour!

Councillor Gillian Ford, Leader of the Council’s main opposition representing Havering’s Aligned Residents Associations (HARA), officially launched her borough tour two weeks ago.

Driven by the belief that a community’s strength lies in its residents, Councillor Ford aims to visit every single ward to meet you directly and hear firsthand about the local issues that matter most.

“Where somebody lives is key to their happiness and wellbeing,” Councillor Ford highlighted. “If we can find solutions to the simple niggles and everyday frustrations that wind people up, we can make Havering a much nicer place to live.”

Pointing to a widespread issue, she noted: “Take street litter, for example. We see it on our streets and pavements constantly. While the wind plays a part, too much of it comes down to individuals treating our pavements like a dustbin. I want to hear about the specific challenges you face, so we can work together to make a real difference.”
