Hard work has been going on across Rainham to reduce the level of anti social behaviour by Tesco and The Royals.

Councillor Jackie McArdle, alongside Rainham PCSO Brian Simms and Julia Bates have worked tirelessly with Tesco and The Royals to stop those gathering in door ways and disruptive behaviour.

Councillor McArdle told the Havering Daily:

“I was happy to hear this morning that the anti social behaviour outside Tescos seems to be now under control.

“PCSO’s Julia Bates and Brian Simms have spent more than a year having discussions with Tesco and spending a lot of their shifts monitoring activity outside the entrance and walkway. It would seem that finally the problem is getting resolved.

“Tesco have now given out banning orders, removed the benches and have security on the door all things suggested by Julia and Brian. In a previous walk around the area and with permission from The Royals, I have had signs put in place in the Royals Garden which has enabled Julia and Brian to move off anyone that shouldn’t have been there.

“All these measures are now finally making a difference and helping passers by and shoppers to feel safer and less intimidated.”
