Update: Police attend Hornchurch school after release of CS gas spray.

Police have confirmed they attended Emerson Park School yesterday following reports that CS gas had been sprayed in a classroom.

London Ambulance Service attended and treated six pupils and one adult.

A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:

“On Wednesday, 9 October at 13:13 police were called to Wych Elm Road, Hornchurch following reports that CS gas had been released.

Officers attended the scene and assisted the London Ambulance Service who treated one adult and six teenagers.

There were no life-changing or life-threatening injuries reported.

An investigation in the circumstances is on-going.”
