Eurovision fever hits Romford’s Brookside theatre.

It’s the merry month of May, which can mean only one thing, Eurovision! To celebrate, the Brookside Theatre is hosting the UK’s live premiere of EUROBEAT – THE PRIDE OF EUROPE, the Eurovision Musical.

Now featuring new songs and material, Eurobeat has been delighting audiences since its 2008 West End debut. This is the latest iteration to join the Eurobeat canon, which – much like its real-life counterpart – is continuously evolving, adapting and reflecting current times.

It is now Liechtenstein’s turn to crown this year’s Eurobeat champion. Take a trip to this tiny Alpine nation for some hilarious new songs, and some old favourites. Join the hostess with the mostess, Marlene Cabana (played by one of the UK’s top drag performers, David Phipps Davis), cow milking champion and costume change addict, in a night of pure fun. Enjoy ten European performances where you decide your winner!

This loving send-up is bound to delight fans of Europe’s largest television event and musical theatre lovers alike! Packed full of power ballads galore, outrageous dance routines, key-changes, drag queens, a sprinkle of politics and the drama of crowning a winner; this is a celebration of an ever more diverse continent that sure loves to party. A song contest which reflects quirky, colourful and camp Europe, where even the smallest can come out and make it big!

Eurobeat – The Pride Of Europe has a book, music and lyrics by Craig Christie and is produced by the creative team at the theatre who brought you ELF THE MUSICAL and HAIRSPRAY.

Hilariously funny and brilliantly performed, this unforgettable show won’t fail to put a smile on your face. Even if you’re not a fan of Eurovision, sit back and enjoy the fantastic songs on show. The perfect tonic for a difficult year, EUROBEAT is not only the ‘Pride of Europe’ but the Pride of Havering. Don’t miss the biggest party in town and book today!
