Hornchurch High Street Grinds to a Halt as Police Chase Ends With Driver Fleeing on Foot.
Residents in Hornchurch watched as a police pursuit ended on the High Street yesterday evening, with officers detaining and arresting a driver after the vehicle failed to stop for police.

The incident unfolded at around 5.35pm on Friday, 28 August, when officers from the Havering Joint Task Force became involved in a pursuit of a vehicle.
The vehicle finally came to a stop in the middle of the traffic light junction opposite Sainsbury’s on Hornchurch High Street with the driver attempting to leave the area on foot.
However, officers quickly detained him and arrested him on suspicion of dangerous driving and possession of a Class B substance.
Residents and people in the area were watching as the incident unfolded, with officers remaining at the scene.
Well done to officers from Havering Joint Task Force who work tirelessly across the borough.
