The ghost is back — and this time, he’s met his match! Brookside Theatre, Romford, is preparing to welcome audiences to THE CANTERVILLE GHOST, running 9–13 September 2026, with a talented cast bringing Oscar Wilde’s much-loved supernatural comedy spectacularly to life.
Leading the cast as the legendary ‘Sir Simon de Canterville’ is Jai Sepple, Artistic Director and Founder of Brookside Theatre, who has also written this exciting new adaptation.
But, without a doubt, the production’s biggest star is just nine years old. Talented local youngster Jessica Sepple takes on the major role of ‘Jennifer Canterville’, joining a talented and seasoned adult cast in what promises to be an incredible production, not to be missed.
Jessica shares the stage with Kieran Walsh as ‘Harry Canterville’ and Francesca Hope as ‘Lucy Canterville’, while Fahad Salman plays ‘Hummle Umney’ and Harri Sepple returns as ‘Mrs Umney’. Harri is also directing this exceptional cast. Completing the cast are Peter Slade, playing ‘Uncle Hesketh’ and ‘Professor Cook’, and Karen Pritchard as ‘Aunt Caroline’.
This exciting ensemble brings together experience, emerging talent and a genuine family connection, creating a production that promises plenty of laughs, scares and theatrical magic.
