Police Release CCTV Images Following Racially Aggravated Assault at Harold Wood Station

British Transport Police are appealing for information after a woman was racially abused and attacked at Harold Wood railway station in October.

Officers investigating an alleged racially aggravated assault have released two CCTV images and are asking the public to help identify a woman they believe may have information about the incident.

According to British Transport Police, the incident happened at around 9.15pm on Friday 9 October 2026. A woman was racially abused by another woman while on a platform at Harold Wood railway station.

The victim left the station, but while waiting outside she was approached by the same woman, who then hit and kicked her, police said.

Investigators have now issued the images below as part of their appeal. Officers say they would like to speak to the woman pictured because she may have information that could assist the investigation. The release of the images does not establish that the person shown has committed an offence.

Anyone who recognises the woman or has information about the incident is asked to text British Transport Police on 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 265 of 14 October.

Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
