Romford police officers have struck another blow against suspected drug dealing after a proactive operation led to four arrests and the seizure of a large quantity of Class A and Class B drugs.

Officers from the Romford Town Centre Team carried out the operation on 16 May as part of ongoing efforts to tackle drug-related crime and keep local communities safe.

During the operation, four individuals were arrested for drug offences, while another man was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon.

Police seized a significant quantity of suspected Class A and Class B drugs, preventing them from potentially reaching the streets of Romford.

Following the arrests, two men and one woman have been charged with drug offences. A further man has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

The successful operation highlights the continued determination of local officers to target those suspected of supplying illegal drugs and engaging in criminal activity within the town centre.

Residents regularly raise concerns about drug-related crime and anti-social behaviour, and this latest action demonstrates the commitment of officers to disrupting those who seek to profit from the misery that drugs can bring to communities.

The charged individuals are due to appear before the courts.
