Bedfords Park Deer Day Set To Be A Fantastic Family Event This Saturday

A very special day celebrating deer and wildlife is set to take place this Saturday at Bedfords Park — and the fantastic team from Harold Hill Deer Aid will be there to join the celebrations.

The much-loved Bedfords Park Deer Day takes place on Saturday 30 May from 10.30am until 2pm and promises to be a brilliant educational family event focused on the beautiful deer of Bedfords Park and the wildlife that surrounds Havering.

Harold Hill Deer Aid founders Jan and Shantel will be attending with their own stall where visitors can meet the team and learn more about the incredible work they do rescuing and protecting deer and wildlife across the community.

The event is especially meaningful for the charity as next year marks 10 years of Harold Hill Deer Aid.

For almost a decade the team have dedicated themselves to rescuing injured deer, helping orphaned wildlife and educating the public on how to safely respond when animals are in distress.

Visitors attending the event will be able to learn more about:

• wildlife rescue
• caring for injured and orphaned deer
• what to do if wildlife is found in need
• the ongoing work being carried out across Havering to protect local wildlife

The day will also feature:
🦌 deer feeding experiences with park rangers
🎨 deer themed crafts and trails
🌿 educational talks and activities
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 family friendly entertainment throughout the day

The event is expected to attract families and wildlife lovers from across the borough and organisers are encouraging residents to come along, support the charity and celebrate Havering’s amazing wildlife.

Harold Hill Deer Aid said they hope to see lots of familiar and new faces as they continue their journey towards their special 10-year milestone next year.
