Parkside Community Centre officially reopened on Wednesday 13 May following a fantastic refurbishment that has transformed the much loved venue into a modern community hub and warm space for local residents.

The centre, which first opened its doors in 1967, has long been a focal point for the local community and continues to play a vital role in bringing residents together.

Local people, community representatives and special guests gathered to celebrate the reopening, with key members of the centre joined by the Mayor of Redbridge, Councillor Beverley Brewer for the official opening ceremony.

The refurbished centre now offers improved facilities designed to better support the community and provide a welcoming space for residents of all ages.

Funding for the project was made possible through the support of local community partners, including Veolia, helping ensure the centre can continue serving the area for years to come.

Residents praised the transformation, describing the centre as an important lifeline for the community and a place where people can connect, access support and take part in local activities.

The reopening marks a significant new chapter for Parkside Community Centre as it continues its long history at the heart of the community.
