CHRISTMAS CLASSICS AND FESTIVE MAGIC: Upminster concert promises a musical treat!


Get ready for a touch of Christmas sparkle as the Havering Concert Orchestra brings an afternoon of spectacular dance music and much-loved carols to Upminster this December.

The Havering Concert Orchestra (HCO) is inviting music lovers and families to kick off their Christmas celebrations with its festive concert, Dance Music and Carols, on Sunday 6 December.

Taking place at New Windmill Hall, the concert promises a wonderful mix of orchestral favourites, festive cheer and the chance for the audience to join in with some familiar Christmas carols.

The programme features Tchaikovsky’s magical The Nutcracker Suite, transporting audiences into the enchanting world of the famous Christmas ballet, alongside Borodin’s lively and dramatic Polovtsian Dances, renowned for its powerful rhythms and unforgettable melodies.

Adding a touch of Viennese elegance, the orchestra will also perform two of Johann Strauss II’s most celebrated works, The Blue Danube and the Emperor Waltz.

With stirring orchestral music, festive favourites and audience participation, the concert promises something for regular classical music fans and those simply looking for a special way to begin the Christmas season.

The performance takes place at New Windmill Hall, St Mary’s Lane, Upminster, RM14 2QH. Doors open at 2.30pm, with the concert starting at 3pm.

Tickets cost £17, reduced to £14 when purchased in advance. Children and students can attend for just £5, making it an appealing festive outing for families.

Refreshments will also be available during the 20-minute interval.
