Large Crowds of Youths Gather Outside Romford Station As 15 Year old Boy Jumped On And Assaulted.

Police were called at 16:44 on Friday, 1 May to reports of a fight involving a large group of youths on South Street, Romford, after more than a hundred teenagers aged between 14 and 17 were seen gathering outside Romford station.

Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service, where a 15-year-old boy was treated for a cut to his eye and taken to hospital.

It is believed the injury was sustained during the disorder, which unfolded in front of a large crowd as tensions escalated. Three police vehicles were sent to the scene to bring the situation under control.

No arrests have been made at this stage and enquiries remain ongoing.
