Yesterday a special family fun day was held in Central Park in Harold Hill, organised by My Ends Partnership. The day saw activities such as football, boxing, food stalls and face painting, bringing together families from across the community for a day of fun and connection.

The boxing was undertaken by Box Up Crime, who do a fantastic job across the borough. The organisation meets weekly at MyPlace in Harold Hill, offering free sessions for young people and creating a safe, structured environment where they can build confidence, discipline and a sense of purpose. Their work goes far beyond sport, helping to guide young people away from negative influences and towards more positive opportunities.

Throughout the day, children and young people were able to get involved, try something new and enjoy being active in a supportive setting. Parents were able to relax, socialise and take part in the activities, creating a real sense of community spirit in the park.

Events like this highlight the importance of local organisations working together to provide positive opportunities for young people and families. By offering engaging activities and safe spaces, they help to strengthen the community and give young people constructive ways to spend their time.

This was a lovely way to end the Easter holidays.

These are two fantastic ambassadors for Box Up Crime.
