Havering Labour Councillors urge residents to have their say on Romford Masterplan.

Romford’s Labour Councillor, Jane Keane welcomes the efforts that Havering Council are making to consult with residents on the forthcoming Romford Masterplan. This will set out how potential changes to Romford Town Centre will be carried out. The key aims are economic growth, sustainable communities and suitable infrastructure.

“Some parties or local authorities might think it suitable to build housing estates in the middle of nowhere, or out-of-town shopping precincts that restrict access for those who don’t drive, but Romford has thrived for hundreds of years precisely because it blends thriving communities with economic opportunity. This informal consultation will be followed by a more thorough look at the document before it is approved by the Council on behalf of residents”

The consultation closes on the 3rd of May.
