‘We cannot let London subsume Romford by implementing this disastrous pay to drive social experiment’-Andrew Rosindell MP.
Members of Havering Against ULEZ joined a protest in London on Sunday 25 June. The anti ULEZ protest took place in the capital as many voiced their views and expressed their anger at this expansion.
ULEZ is due to commence at the end of August across all outer London Boroughs and has faced endless criticism by many.
Sunday saw Michelle Amato and her campaigners from Havering join larger crowds across London and be supported by the Romford MP Andrew Rosindell.
Mr Rosindell told the Havering Daily:
“Excellent to be in Marble Arch yesterday alongside disgruntled residents from across Greater London to voice our opposition to the expansion of the U.L.E.Z.! Mayor Khan’s one-size-fits-all policymaking must be rejected by His Majesty’s Government. We cannot let London subsume Romford from Essex by implementing this disastrous, pay-to-drive social experiment.”
Michelle and members of Havering Against ULEZ have been protesting right across the borough for weeks and have received a lot of support from residents who are objecting to this expansion.
When it was announced last year that all outer London boroughs were going to be under this scheme, residents clearly voiced their worries, many sharing life changing decisions that they are faced with.
