Hornchurch man runs 5K everyday for a year in memory of his dad.

A Hornchurch man set himself a challenge to run 5K a day for 365 days to raise money for the Brain Tumour Research charity. Glen Wooding embarked on his first run on the 12 September last year in memory of his dad who sadly died from a grade 4 glioblastoma multiforme brain tumour in 2003.

Glen was just 17 years old when his dad died, leaving three sons behind. His dad was a keen cricketer and played cricket with his sons at Harold Wood cricket club.

Now, in memory of his dad Glen has set himself the challenge to run 5K everyday to raise money for the Brain Tumour Research charity.

Glen has been so dedicated to this important challenge that he even ran on Christmas Day and in April on the day his youngest son was born.

He has raised an incredible amount of money so far for this important charity and will be running his last 5K next Sunday September 11 starting from Harold Wood cricket club house.
