Residents living on Regarth Road in Romford are angry at receiving parking fines despite parking rules that allows them to park in that area.
The Romford residents have permits as the area is a resident permit zone from 8:30am until 6:30pm, yet despite these regulations residents have received parking tickets at 7:45 am. Despite having a parking permit one lady was ticketed before the parking enforcement time starts.
The lady who lives on Regarth Road and did not wish to be named, told the Havering Daily:
“A few of us here have received parking tickets. When I saw my car being ticketed I went out to speak with the Parking Warden to ask him why he was ticketing my car, but he did not have much English, so could not respond.
“I have challenged the ticket and am now waiting to see what the response is.
“The sign clearly states the parking enforcement starts at 8:30am, and I was parked at 7:45am.
“This area also has blue badge misuse. There are people who use blue badges that do not belong to them and yet brazenly use them each day to park here.”
Residents living on Regarth Road are angry with the ongoing parking issues in the area and are hoping that the Council can tackle the blue badge misuse to stop motorists parking illegally.
