HAROLD HILL MAN FACES SIX HISTORIC SEXUAL OFFENCE CHARGES
A 48-year-old Harold Hill man has appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court accused of six historic sexual offences allegedly committed in Havering more than two decades ago.
Stephen Lott, of Kingsbridge Road, Harold Hill, appeared before magistrates on Friday, October 2, in connection with allegations said to date back to between 2000 and 2004.
The charges relate to allegations involving a woman and a child.
Lott is accused of two counts of rape relating to a woman.
He is also charged with two counts of rape and two counts of indecent assault relating to a girl who was under the age of 14 at the time of the alleged offences.
The alleged offences are said to have taken place in Havering.
Lott appeared before Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Friday but was not required to enter pleas at this stage.
He was released on bail and is due to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court later this month.
The allegations have not been proven and Lott has not been convicted in relation to these charges.
Because the case concerns alleged sexual offences against a child, The Havering Daily will not publish any information that could identify the alleged child victim.
The case will now proceed through the Crown Court process, where the allegations against Lott will be considered.
