Well done to East Area police who embarked on a day of action that incorporated all three boroughs, Havering,Barking and Dagenham and Redbridge on Friday 23 of July.
Many different police teams took part in a day of pro active engagement looking at anti social behaviour and other key issues effecting the east London boroughs, chatting with the local community and undertaking weapon sweeps in hot spot areas.
The Havering Daily reporter joined Sergeant Richard Ruane on the Harold Hill Day of Action that saw nearly thirty officers visit the shopping area on Farnham Road and a weapon sweep along different parts of Briar Road.
Safer Neighbourhood teams were joined by a drugs dog as well as Havering Council officer Tom Grainger and local councillor Keith Darvil, and Heaton ward prospective councillors Mandy Anderson and Frankie Walker.
Officers walked along the shopping area, actively engaging with members of the public and local shop keepers about the challenges they face.
The day was extremely positive, with the majority of the community happy to see our police officers out and about and thanking them for the hard work they do.
