Saturday saw cyclists across the borough take to the streets to ask for more cycle lanes in Havering.
Havering cyclists combined forces with Extinction Rebellion to ask the council to install more cycle lanes across our roads.
Cyclists rode from Harrow Lodge Park to the town hall in Romford where they handed over a letter to Councillor Brian Eagling calling for more cycle lanes to be installed across Havering.
Harold Wood Councillor Brian Eagling will then hand the letter over to Havering’s Leader of the Council, Councillor Damian White.
Councillors and cyclists combined outside of the town hall voicing their concerns that the borough urgently needs more cycle lane.
Anna from Havering’s Extinction Rebellion spoke to the crowds asking that the council not only install more cycle lanes but also declare that the climate crisis is real and acknowledge that more work needs to be done to save the planet.
