GLA Keith Prince secures a step free Gidea Park station.
GLA Conservative member Keith Prince has secured a ‘step free’ access to Gidea Park station.
Mr Prince told the Havering Daily ‘For people with mobility issues, getting around our city can be unacceptably difficult. The simple fact is that an inadequate number of our stations have step-free access meaning that those with disabilities find it harder to benefit from all that our great city has to offer. This problem can be particularly acute in Outer London boroughs, where many residents simply do not have the luxury of being able to take alternative routes into the centre of the city.’
‘I have been pressing Crossrail for step-free access at Gidea Park station for some time, so I am absolutely delighted that this new lift has been installed. It will have such a positive impact on the lives of many residents living in the local area.’
‘I want all stations in Havering to have step-free access and I will continue to push for this to happen’
