Upminster residents are being urged to come together to help transform one of their best-loved green spaces, with a fundraising quiz night set to raise money for a vibrant new mural and a colourful flower bed at Upminster Park.

Friends of Upminster Park (FOUP) is on a mission to make the park cleaner, greener and more colourful, and is calling on local residents and businesses to get behind its latest community projects.

On Tuesday 3 November, the volunteer-led group will host The Big Upminster Quiz at BrewDog Upminster, bringing residents and local businesses together for an evening of fundraising, raffle prizes and community spirit.

But this is about much more than a quiz night.

The money raised will help bring two exciting projects to life: a vibrant new community mural created in collaboration with local schools and artists, and a redesigned flower bed to bring fresh colour and life to Upminster Park.

FOUP is made up of local residents who believe that small actions can make a big difference. Over the past year, volunteers, families, children and schools have rolled up their sleeves to tackle litter, plant flowers, paint railings and improve the park for everyone.

And the group says this is only the beginning.

With local businesses already supporting the initiative by donating raffle prizes, the event is another example of what can happen when a community pulls together to improve its local surroundings.

FOUP hopes the fundraiser will do more than fill tables for one evening. The group wants to inspire more residents to get involved, attract new volunteers and raise the money needed to make Upminster Park a place the whole community can be proud of.

Residents are invited to come along, test their general knowledge and help make a lasting difference to their local park.
