BREAKING: Former Havering teacher found guilty of ten sexual offences against children


A former Havering teacher has been found guilty of ten sexual offences against children following a trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

Paul Whiteman was found guilty on Friday, 2 October, following proceedings at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

The convictions relate to ten sexual offences involving children.

The offences for which he was found guilty include rape, assault by penetration of a child under 13, making indecent photographs of children and attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.

Whiteman is due to return to Snaresbrook Crown Court on 27 November, when he is expected to be sentenced.
