Police Take Action As Anti-Social Behaviour Dispersal Order Imposed Across Hornchurch.

Police have imposed a Section 35 dispersal order across Hornchurch town centre and surrounding areas following reports of anti-social behaviour causing harassment, alarm and distress to local residents and businesses.

The order came into force at 6.09pm on Sunday 9 August and will remain in place until 6.09pm on Tuesday 11 August.

It was authorised by Inspector West and gives local police additional powers to disperse individuals involved in anti-social behaviour.

The order covers Hornchurch town centre and parts of the surrounding area, including:

📍 Emerson Park
📍 Hacton
📍 Suttons Avenue
📍 Abbs Cross Lane
📍 The entrance to Harrow Lodge Sports Centre

Police say the action has been taken following anti-social behaviour which has caused harassment, alarm and distress to people living and working in the area.

The Section 35 powers allow officers to direct people to leave the designated area when appropriate and prevent them from returning for a specified period.

Residents and businesses in the affected areas are being asked to remain vigilant and report any incidents of anti-social behaviour to police.

The order will remain in force until 6.09pm on Tuesday 11 August.
