Breaking: Police Cordon Off Part of South Street, Romford Following Reports of Sink Hole.
Parts of South Street in Romford, at the junction with Eastern Road outside Romford railway station, have been cordoned off by police this afternoon following an ongoing incident.
There are reports from the scene that a sinkhole may have opened up and that the extreme heat has caused sections of the road surface to melt.
Residents are reporting that the tarmac has melted and a sink hole has opened up stopping buses from going by.
