Romford Nightclub Jukebox Receives Life Saving Bleed Bag From The Ricky Hayden Memorial.
A powerful community event took place in Romford yesterday as anti-knife crime campaigner and bereaved mum Sue Hedges donated a life-saving Daniel Baird bleed bag to the popular Jukebox nightclub on South Street.
Sue, whose campaigning work following the tragic loss of her son Ricky Hayden has helped place emergency bleed kits across Havering and beyond, was welcomed by Jukebox owner Danny during the special presentation event.
In a moving show of community support, Danny presented Sue with a cheque for £550 for the Ricky Hayden Memorial Fund, with every penny going towards purchasing more bleed bags for venues and public locations across the local area.
The event also featured a charity raffle, with the prize being bestselling local author Kimberley Chambers latest book Essex Wives.
The winning raffle ticket was drawn by Romford BID representative Julie Frost.
The event highlighted the incredible community spirit across Romford, bringing together local businesses, campaigners and residents in support of a cause that could one day save a life.
Sue’s work continues to raise awareness of knife crime while ensuring emergency bleed bags are placed in accessible locations where they may be needed most.
The newly donated bleed bag at Jukebox now joins a growing network of potentially life-saving kits installed across Havering thanks to the dedication of Sue and the Ricky Hayden Memorial Fund.
