Great Work By Response Officers Sees Males Arrested For Drugs, Possession Of A Knife And Immigration In Hornchurch.
Response team officers patrolling Hornchurch noticed a vehicle that was not so keen to stop at temporary traffic lights. The officers signalled for the vehicle to stop and although the vehicle did, the driver and passenger took the opportunity for some additional exercise and decamped from the vehicle. Our officers however, were not to be deterred, sprang into action and caught up with both men after a foot chase.
The passenger, a 24 year old man was found to have a number of Class A drugs in his possession. He was also wanted by the courts.
The driver, a 26 year old man was found to have around £2,000 cash.
Both were arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and immigration matters. Additionally, the driver was further arrested for points and blades as a knife was also recovered and driving whilst unfit as he tested positive for Class A during a drugs swipe.
The investigation continues.
Excellent proactive work by our response team officers for chasing down two men who have no regard for the law or the safety of others.
Great Work!
