Armed Forces Day parade returns to Romford.
On Saturday 25 of June Romford saw the return of the Armed Forces Day parade. Hundreds of local residents came out to watch the parade that returned after a two year gap due to Covid restrictions.
Veterans joined local dignitaries to march through Romford starting from South Street and finishing at Tollgate House in the Market Place. Havering’s Mayor Councillor Trevor McKeever made a special speech outside the Town Hall to pay tribute to all the men and women who are serving or have served in the armed forces.
The Royal British Legion Band provided the music for the parade as councillors stood alongside our armed forces cadets.
Upminster and Hornchurch MP Julia Lopez joined in the day’s celebration alongside Havering’s Leader of the Council Councillor Ray Morgon.
