Mirza Adeel Akhtar-Labour candidate for South Hornchurch.

The Havering Daily has been running a list of the different candidates for today’s local elections.

Today we meet Mirza Adeel Akhtar, Labour candidate for South Hornchurch.

I moved to South Hornchurch in 2017 after finding my “forever home” and falling in love with the area.
I am a strong believer in and supporter of the education system and the importance of a hard work ethic, both of which have helped me achieve a successful career working as an IT professional.

I have enjoyed campaigning in South Hornchurch ward and have also been involved with various types of charity work, such as collecting donations and helping with campaigns.  As an advocate of youth empowerment, I have also given time as a voluntary teacher and had experience with mentoring students.

I am standing for election for Havering council because as a local resident and a new father to a beautiful baby girl, I truly believe it’s time for a change and I want to step up and make a difference.
I want to work for a brighter future for my daughter and all those in my local South Hornchurch community and beyond.
