VIDEO: Councillor’s anger at landlord’s failure to maintain pub now a community eye sore.

The Durham Arms is now derelict and run down and a complete eye sore for the community.

St Albans councillor Judith Holt and prospective councillor Aaron Young are calling on the owner of the Durham Arms public house on Brentwood Road in Romford to act now and deal with what they are calling a community eye sore and a derelict building. The pub has been closed for eighteen months and left in state of total disrepair. The rubbish is overflowing around the building and the site has now become a fly tipping haven.

Councillor Holt and Aaron Young have been talking to local residents and handing out over 1,000 petitions asking for action now to have this eye sore dealt with.

If the council had approved one of the multiple planning applications the eye sore would no longer be there
