Sadly this is one of the hardest pieces we have ever had to write here at the Havering Daily. Most of you will remember the beautiful little Ava Cottle who was fighting a battle with leukemia. Last Sunday, Ava lost that battle and passed away.
Ava had spent half of her two year old life in lockdown due to Covid and having to shield as she was under going treatment at Great Ormond Street hospital. On Mother’s day Ava could fight no longer and sadly passed away in the morning.
The whole community will remember her little smiling face, always cheerful and happy despite the many challenges she faced.
Recently Ava’s friends alongside the Havering Daily helped organise two special days for her. The first being a farm day for her to meet animals and the second being a fair day where seaside rides were bought to Dagenham for Ava to be able to ride.
Ava you will stay in our hearts and we will all always remember your little smiling face.
A special tribute will be paid to Ava next week.
