St Edwards Primary school closed for two weeks due to increase in Covid cases.

St Edwards Primary school in Havering Drive, Romford has closed for two weeks following an increase in Covid cases.

A Havering Council spokesperson said:“St Edward’s Primary School has taken the tough decision to close until November 23 due to an increase in COVID-19 cases.

“The decision was taken to help keep everyone as safe as possible and is not a reflection of the systems the school has in place, but as a result of the general rise in numbers in the borough, and teachers having to self-isolate.

“During its closure, pupils will continue to learn from home and we’ve made arrangements so that eligible pupils can continue to receive free school meals.”
