‘Thank you to Councillor Damian White for being so supportive’. 60ft mound to be removed today.

Residents living on Wallis Close in Hornchurch who were concerned about a 60ft mound of earth at the back on their homes were yesterday told that as from today the mound will be removed.

The locals living next to the mound were paid a visit yesterday by the leader of the Council Councillor Damian White and their local Councillors Ciaran White and Maggie Themastocolis.

The story had featured in the Havering Daily on Monday and luckily has now been resolved.

Tina who lives at number 16 told the Havering Daily: “The Leader of the Council, Councillor White came to visit us yesterday. He apologised for all the dust and problems we have had to endure and assured us it would start to be moved as from Thursday.

“Councillor Damian White has been really supportive and we were so pleased that he came down to see the mound for himself.

“Councillor Ciaran White our local Councillor has been amazing and we thank him for everything he has done for us. We were delighted to have had both Councillor Whites’ here to see the mound.”

The locals living on Wallis Close had been concerned about the mound of earth and feared it might remain. Now the issue has been resolved and residents are delighted that the 60ft eyesore will be removed.
