Teenager visits NYPD headquarters on special trip.
Thirteen year old Harvey Kiddle from Havering is visiting New York and has had the opportunity to meet a real life New York police Lieutenant.
Harvey, whose dad PC Anthony Kiddle is the East Area Command’s Wildlife Officer and Havering’s Cadet Coordinator, handed over a Met police Cadet beret and brassard to Lieutenant Rob Corbett from the NYPD.
The teenager had a guided tour of 1 Police Plaza the New York equivalent of New Scotland Yard.
PC Kiddle told the Havering Daily:
“I’m very proud of Harvey. He wanted to meet a real life NYPD officer and he was able to hand over one of our cadet berets and brassards.
“Lieutenant Rob Corbett is a friend of the Met and is involved with our Jack’s Pack programme. It’s good to keep strong links between the Met and the NYPD.
“2020 is also the Havering Police Cadets twentieth anniversary so it was nice to bring one of our berets over to New York.”
Harvey is having a trip of a lifetime with his mum and family as sadly PC Kiddle could not join them due to work commitments.
