‘I am still committed to delivering a deal that defend’s workers’ rights.’
The Dagenham and Rainham MP Jon Cruddas has today voted for the Withdrawal Agreement Bill.
He writes in the Havering Daily:
Today I voted for the Withdrawal Agreement Bill in principle. I was re-elected on a platform to respect the outcome of the referendum – just as I was in 2017. That is what I have consistently sought to do. This does not mean I am happy with the deal in its current form but taking it to the next stage provides an opportunity to make vital amendments.
I am still committed to delivering a deal that defends workers’ rights, environmental and consumer protections, trade and manufacturing jobs in Dagenham and Rainham
well the fact that this withdrawal deal (workers rights and children asylum gone) was worse then the last Johnson withdrawal deal which was worse then the May deal, together with a Tory majority government, could be a clue as to how likely it is that you will secure these amendments!
