Nitrous Oxide, gas canisters blighting our streets.

Today the Havering Daily launches a new campaign tackling the serious issue of nitrous oxide or laughing gas as it is better known.

The little silver gas canisters are found strewn all over our streets and parks right across the borough.

How many of us have cleared up canisters left near our pavements or from benches in our parks?

This week we will be speaking to members of the community about the rise in use of nitrous oxide and how the different organisations are tackling it.

Please let us know your views and thoughts on this. Is this a problem in your area?

Please send any stories or pictures to newsdesk@thehaveringdaily.co.uk

The Havering Daily has created some new facebook groups, where we will share our up-to-date stories happening in the borough.

Please feel free to share with us all the latest stories or views you have.

Don’t forget to share the groups and invite your friends to join too.

You can regularly find them around Havering Sixth form college and the surrounding streets. As the passing generation get their fix of “recreational drugs” usually in a car then dump the empties in the street. I would also suggest that you speak to your street cleaning and park staff to hear their comments.
