Harold Hill has found itself at the centre of the action after a former local pub was temporarily transformed into a film set for a new crime thriller starring British actor Craig Fairbrass.

Filming has wrapped on Villain: The Next Chapter, also known as Villain 2, with scenes for the highly anticipated sequel shot at The Alderman in Harold Hill.
The pub was temporarily closed last week as film crews moved in to use the former Harold Hill pub as a location for the production.
The film sees Fairbrass reprise his role as former criminal Eddie Franks, who is attempting to leave his criminal past behind.
But, as fans of the original film will know, leaving that world behind is far easier said than done.
The sequel is a crime thriller and continues the story of Eddie Franks as he attempts to build a new life away from his former criminal activities.
And while London has provided the backdrop for much of the production, Harold Hill has now played its own starring role.
The Havering Daily meets the man behind the movie
The Havering Daily had the incredible opportunity to speak exclusively with film producer Jason Maza after The Alderman became part of the film.
Jason spoke to The Havering Daily about the production and the decision to bring filming to Harold Hill.
He was joined by his father Rico Maza, who is well known across Harold Hill and Havering for his work as a community champion.
The father and son team provided a fascinating insight into the film and what it was like to see a local Harold Hill venue become part of a major movie production.
For residents who have known The Alderman over the years, seeing the familiar venue transformed into a film location will have provided a very different sight from the usual scenes associated with the former pub.
And for Harold Hill, it is another reminder that film productions can find locations in some unexpected corners of the borough.
Jason confirmed this Monday on X that filming had officially finished.
Reflecting on the production, he described it as a privilege to be able to make the movie alongside so many incredible cast and crew members.
The sequel reunites audiences with Fairbrass’s Eddie Franks as the character attempts to escape the world he once inhabited.
But with crime, violence and his past still hanging over him, his attempt at a fresh start is unlikely to be straightforward.
For Harold Hill residents, however, the excitement is now about seeing a familiar local location on the big screen.
The Alderman may have temporarily closed its doors for filming, but the former pub has now secured its own small piece of movie history.
