Havering Cyclists Challenge The Mayor of London To Deliver Healthy Streets On Its Road Network Across The Borough.
Havering Cyclists and Better Streets for Havering today share the following:
While most of the roads in Havering are managed be the council, Transport for London manages the A12, A127 and A13 which pass through the borough.
The A12 and A127 cut our communities in half, and are difficult to cross and travel along for walking, wheeling and cycling. The paths are poorly maintained, often narrow, overgrown and controlled crossings are often missing at the junctions with borough roads.
Issues like these have now been recognised across London in the Healthy Streets Scorecard for the first time and we challenge the Mayor of London to develop and deliver a strategy to make his roads safer, easier to cross and easier to move along for our residents who walk, wheel and cycle.
This comes following Havering’s third worst ranking for Healthy Streets.

when cyclist contribute to the up keep of the roads , and have a proficiency test and insurance then they should get a say in things . until then they don’t get a say! especially because the ratio is about 3000 car to one cyclist. fix the pot holes first in the area first
