LATEST: Queen’s Hospital Ranking Revealed In New NHS League Tables.
The NHS has reintroduced hospital league tables for September 2025, and the results show just where our local hospital stands. Queen’s Hospital in Romford, part of the Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT), has been ranked joint 57th out of 134 acute hospital trusts across England, with a performance score of 2.26.
This places the trust in the third performance segment, a category described as “most challenged”. The league tables, published nationally this week, assess trusts across 30 key metrics including A&E waiting times, elective treatment backlogs, financial stability, and patient satisfaction.
“These figures give a snapshot of where hospitals stand – but they don’t always tell the full story of what’s happening on the ground,” a health expert commented as the tables were released.
For many Havering residents, Queen’s Hospital is their first point of call for emergencies, major operations, and routine healthcare needs. However, the ranking highlights the ongoing challenges faced by the trust, particularly in areas such as long A&E waits, where Queen’s has often struggled to meet national targets.
Residents have long voiced frustration over waiting times at Queen’s. yet many also praise the dedication of frontline nurses, and support staff.
The government insists that league tables will help drive up standards by giving patients clear information about performance and helping under-pressure hospitals focus on areas that need improvement. But critics argue that reducing complex healthcare issues to a single ranking risks oversimplifying matters and unfairly labelling hospitals.
Queen’s hospital has been called out for having some very unempathetic doctors who lack compassion and caring and very little bedside manner.
What is clear is that Havering residents deserve the very best from their local hospital.
