Man dies following fatal collision in Goodmayes.
A 45 year old man has sadly died following a fatal collision on Goodmayes Road yesterday.
The incident happened at 4.30pm when a lorry was in collision with a pedestrian. The air ambulance attended and the man was rushed to hospital where he sadly died later. The lorry driver stopped at the scene.
A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:
“An investigation is ongoing following a fatal collision in Redbridge.
Police were called at approximately 16:30 on Monday, 7 August to reports of a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian in Goodmayes Road, Ilford.
Officers, London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended the scene; the pedestrian, a 45-year-old man, was taken to hospital, where he later died.
His next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene. There have been no arrests.”
Road closures remain in place and enquiries into the circumstances continue.
