Dagenham man admits sexually assaulting and murdering Zara Aleena.

Jordan McSweeney 29, has today, Friday November 18 admitted to murdering 35 year old Zara Aleena as she walked home along Cranbrook Road in Ilford. The 29 year old murdered the law student minutes away from her home in the early hours of June 26.

McSweeney kicked and stamped on Zara after sexually assaulting her, and then leaving her for dead the Old Bailey heard today.

The prosecutor said that Zara stood no chance, after McSweeney dragged her into a drive way along Cranbrook Road and then proceeded to stamp on her and kick her.

The court heard how the Dagenham man took her phone and keys after sexually assaulting her and leaving her for dead.

Zara was found at 2.44 am with severe head injuries by the emergency services struggling to breathe and partially clothed. She was rushed to the Royal London Hospital where she sadly later died from her injuries.

McSweeney had been released from prison just nine days before murdering 35 year old Zara.

His sentencing will be at a later date.
