VIDEO: Fantastic summer concert returns to Langtons.
Hundreds of spectators filled the beautiful grounds of Langtons House in Hornchurch to watch the annual summer concert on Sunday 19 June. The concert returned following a two year absence due to the Covid restrictions and had a special platinum jubilee theme.
Queues were seen at all the entrances, as locals arrived in mass packed with their chairs and stunning picnics ready to enjoy a magnificent afternoon of music performed by the Westminister Philharmonic Orchestra.
Orchestral pieces such as waltzes by Strauss were performed alongside of course Rule Britannia, Gloriana by Brittain and Jersusalem. Flags were handed out and jubilee bunting filled the picturesque Langtons setting.
A special Mayoral tent was also present as Havering Mayor Councillor Trevor McKeever and his consort Wendy McKeever welcomed mayors from different London boroughs. Havering’s leader of the council councillor Ray Morgon and councillors were also in attendance to show their support to this fantastic much loved local event.
