A shuttle service is the least Beam Park residents deserve.
Following the ongoing drama over the building of Beam Park station that now seems likely never to be built, Residents Association prospective Councillors for Beam Park call for the immediate installment of a shuttle service.
Today, Rainham Independent Residents Association Beam Park team member Ross Elliott writes about changes that can be immediately introduced, that would improve the current situation for the residents of the Beam Park Ward, while the Council/GLA are trying to persuade the Government to change its mind on the station.

Out on the door steps each week and having spoken to residents of Beam Park, it’s clear that the proposed station played a big part when deciding to purchase their properties. The idea of a shorter commute time or investing in a property near a station was appealing, however, residents now feel let down, with some even feeling they were miss-sold their properties. Residents have confirmed the station formed part of the selling pitch when considering buying a property, and many planned to use the station for commuting.
The permanent or temporary loss of the station is a heavy blow and will add time and cost to residents’ journeys.

Beam Park has the lowest Public Transport Accessibility Level (PTAL) rating of 0 which means it has very poor access to public transport. So, it is very important to have a plan B for the ward.
Given Beam Parks low PTAL rating and the unreliability of the bus service, we have written to Countryside asking for them to introduce (with or without GLA support) a Shuttle bus (preferably subsidised) to take residents to and from the Rainham and Dagenham stations.
If a station were ever built, the shuttle service could be withdrawn but if not, until then, it is the least Beam Park residents deserve.
If you agree please e-mail kevin.delve@cpplc.com ASAP asking for such a service and why you deserve it.

The document linked to above was co-authored by Cllr Graham Williamson. I presume – I know – this is the same Graham Williamson who was a leader of the fascist National Front, who then founded the organisation “Third Way” which followed the “teachings” of Libyan Dictator Colonel GADAFFI, responsible for the murder of WPC Yvonne Fletcher in London and for the Lockerbie aircraft terrorist bombing, and then renamed his organisation the “National Liberal Party”. He is also a leader of the “British Nationalist” “trade union” which steals the name and logo of the Polish freedom organisation led by the human rights hero Lech Walesa, “Solidarity”.
This is all well documented and not under dispute, least of much by Cllr Williamson himself. But do the others in his group know about it, do his voters?
So why does he now go under the name of “Rainham Independent Residents Association”? Might it be that the other Residents Associations in Havering want nothing to do with someone of his “caliber”?
Steve (born and bred in Elm Park) who has observed the activities of this man and his many groupings, over many decades, in my home town – and I have no particular affiliation of my own. But GADAFFI, really? Even most supporters of the BNP and National Front would draw a line there.
