Funds available for school transport for environmental educational visits.

Funds are still available for school transport for heritage and environmental educational visits.
The Land of the Fanns Landscape Partnership Scheme could help fund transport costs for site visit. Schools thinking of planning a trip to an environmental or heritage site can get funds to help with transport costs through the Land of the Fanns Landscape Partnership Scheme’s School Transport Fund. The fund is open to all schools within the Land of the Fanns area but applications must be made and trips taken before March 2022.

The area encompassed by the Land of the Fanns: Havering, Barking & Dagenham, Thurrock, Brentwood and South East Essex, is rich in fascinating places to visit for all school age groups. Schools within the Scheme’s area can apply for help towards transport costs for local heritage and outdoor educational visits through funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund for KS1- 4.

The application process is simple and quick. Please go to www.landofthefanns.org/school-travel-fund for more details. The Land of the Fanns team can be contacted by email: landofthefanns@thameschase.org.uk if you have further questions.
