Havering half marathon a huge success.

Well done to everyone involved in Sunday’s Havering half marathon. This was the first half marathon to take place in Havering since the end of the lock down restrictions and it really was a great community event.

Organised by Havering Mind’s Ciaran White, Sunday saw thousands of runners take part to raise much needed funds for local charities.

From local man Mark dressed as a Ninja breaking the world record to run the fastest half marathon to Superman all ready to join in the fun.

Havering Mayor Councillor John Mylod and GLA member Keith Prince were both present to show their support to all the runners participating in this fantastic event.

The event started at 9:30am at Abbs Cross School in Hornchurch and saw over a hundred marshals line the route to support the runners.

Well done to everyone involved and in particular to Ciaran White who really is an amazing community champion in this borough.
